Finally, I got my love

Filed under: Entertainment, Gaming, Love, Relaxation, Technology — Tags: , — harshsingal @ 1:18 pm

I am happy, exited, exalted, thrilled etc. etc. etc. Finally, I am a proud owner of PS3. Adding cherry on the cake, the first ever games that I started playing on it are God of War 3 and Modern warfare 2.
I could not believe when I reached home and opened my cupboard to see a big packed box lying inside with spider man inspired PS3 logo printed on it. I just shouted out loud, and grabbed the box and gave a big hug to it. Thanks to my wife who had gifted another love of my life.
Its a 120 gb machine, with a wireless controller and the claim that it makes “It only does everything” is so so true. Though faced some difficulties to bring the machine up online, finally made a successful attempt to play modern warfare 2 in multi-player mode.

The only thing I am browsing these days on the net is PS3 games, PS3 forums, PSN network.. 🙂

Sachin’s double ton

One man responsible for ruling the internet on  24th February, 2010 is none other than Sachin Tendulkar. An unbeaten 200* off just 147 balls against one of the best international cricket teams. The master blaster simply smothered the South African team with his willow. Though I was not fortunate enough too see this achievement, I could make out the incitement among all Indians when I read the wall post swirling around in the facebook. There was not even a single member who has not typed in about the legend.

God just got fired and replace  by Tendulkar
200!!!
Sachin has done it
God in Action !!
Immortal at 200

These were some of the statements making rounds in facebook. Every major news was overshadowed by SR 200dulkar’s double ton. 🙂
The whole crowd was cheering, bowing down to this great’s man achievement. Even the people viewing this historical event via webcasts, TV or following the scorecard through websites were all exalted. Everyone was applauding, giving hi 5’s to each other forgetting any kind of decorum they were supposed to maintain for the place they were present in.

Special award – a silver bat(well it should have been a diamond studded), ground in his name, man of the match(undoubtedly), nationwide people’s eyes glittering and there’s this man standing in the presentation ceremony speaking so calmly – so down to earth, nothing matters to him except his love for his game.

Waiting for the events to unfold in World Cup 2011. Go Sachin Go…

Sachin Sachiiiiinnnnnn.. clap clap clap… !!!

I am Back….

Filed under: Blogging, Family, Relaxation — harshsingal @ 4:27 pm

Gosh!!

Its been an year since I have blogged. First of all, I wish a very Happy New Year to all my blogger friends.

Lots of changes have taken place in past 1 year. The most important one, I have become a father now. The kiddo has grown up and is 1 year and 1 month old now. His name is Arrhav(meaning peaceful), though completely opposite of the meaning. Secondly, I relocated to Gurgaon(north India) around 4 months ago. I have become much nearer to my parents now. Only 5 hours drive to Chandigarh… The other things – started twitting, facebooking, changed to new orkut, got invitation for google wave, blah, blah, blah….

The things that are still attached with me are my gaming habits and reading(thank god). Recently, finished Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, highly addictive.

Well, it feels so good to write after such a long time. Hope I will stick to it for another season 🙂

Bye for now 🙂

Theme Changed

After a long time, I have changed the theme of my page. Not that I got bored of the previous theme but there is one important reason behined that. I was not able to upload the youtube or any other videos in the previous theme and I read somewhere that “It is not a good practice to provide a link to the video in your blog. it is always better to embed it.”

Hope you will like it… 🙂

Is the war really over ?

Search “Mumbai terror attack” on any search engine, youtube, flickr, blog and people will realise the terror spread in Mumbai, India.

The 56 hours long war between terrorists and the Indian security personnels is over. This is what being said on every news channel on televisions. However, is everyone confident that the war is over permanently. Can someone assure us that this kind of incidence would never happen again ? We had encountered bombings earlier in Delhi, Bangalore, Jaipur. At that point of time, instead of thinking about the security measures to avoid these kind of situations, the politicians with Z-security were busy playing the political games. None of them ever gave a single thought about our safety. One statement that they blabbered again and again was to “Stay calm”. Now this Mumbai war. What now ???? Are we still supposed to “stay calm” ? How can we ?  We cannot take it anymore and we do not want to. The so-called “politicians” have to come up with rigid and strict measures to ensure our safety. They really have to fill up the loopholes in the security. These were the words of Shobhaa De when asked about the entire situation:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRTZ8-K0jiE&hl=en&fs=1 (I am not able to embed the video in my page)
This is the amount of trust we have in our politicians. If they are not capable of doing anything then please stop wasting our money, stop filling personal treasuries. Please think over the safety of the citizens rather than sleeping during the parliament sessions. Atleast provide adequate equipment to the police officials or ATS who can save us in these kind of situations. What else could be expected from this Government who cannot provide suitable fitting helmets to the policemen.

I want to address Ms. Shobhaa De also that it is not only Mumbai but the people of other cities have had enough. They also want answer to all those questions which are spranging up in the minds of Mumbaikars.

In the end, I want to salute all the police, army, NSG, ATS people who had laid there lives in Mumbai operation.

I am not dead

Hey everyone,
Its been long since I had posted anything. This post also, is not going to be too long. Reason being, I had been diagnosed with a slip disc and a muscle inflammation. The doctor has advised me complete bed rest and I am supposed to get up only for necessary things(food, medicine etc. AND it does not include sitting in front of a computer). Its gonna take time for me to get back to normal state. The previous days had been quite scary for me(Just think, what if it takes you 30 minutes to take 10 steps. 😦 ). Things are comparitively better but not perfect.
The pain is back so going back to bed…..
Pray for my early recovery.

See you soon in a full swing.

Tig-TAG[GED]-Tog

I have been tagged by Nidhi and Priyanka… Gosh, I am getting famous… [:)]

The rules for this tag:
1) Link the person who tagged you.
2) Mention the rules on your blog.
3) Tell 6 unspectacular quirks of yours.
4) Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them.
5) Leave a comment on each Tagged blogger’s blogs, letting them know that they have been Tagged.

Here goes my 6 quirkies:

  • I do not like people who unnecessarily try to interfere in my personal life. Be it a surprise visit at my place or an unnecessary advise without being asked for one. If you expect something from me, convey it to me in clear statements or please do not expect the expectations to be fulfilled
  • If I have some appointment, I like to keep a buffer of around 30 minutes and then get angry on others for being late. [;)] I usually land into an argument with my loved ones for this.. but can’t help it…
  • I have a strange thing for some of the movies that I like, especially the ones that are yet to be released. If a movie is already released, I don’t mind watching them again and again and again……… upto infinity. If a movie is yet to be released, I prefer not to miss a single trailer(even repetition). Watching that movie or not is a separate thing. [:)]
  • I am famous among my colleagues for displaying movies and games wallpapers on my desktop. I am usually asked, “Yaar, yeh kahan se mila tumhe”(Hey dude, where did you get this from?).
  • I do not like this cliche “agli baar dhayan rakhoonga/rakhoongi”(Next time I will take care). These kind of people can never improve.
  • I am a very casual kind of person when it comes to clothes. I do not like wearing formal stuff. Even in parties or marriage occassions, I prefer wearing jeans and a t-shirt.
