Theme Changed
After a long time, I have changed the theme of my page. Not that I got bored of the previous theme but there is one important reason behined that. I was not able to upload the youtube or any other videos in the previous theme and I read somewhere that “It is not a good practice to provide a link to the video in your blog. it is always better to embed it.”
Hope you will like it…

Is the war really over ?
Search “Mumbai terror attack” on any search engine, youtube, flickr, blog and people will realise the terror spread in Mumbai, India.
The 56 hours long war between terrorists and the Indian security personnels is over. This is what being said on every news channel on televisions. However, is everyone confident that the war is over permanently. Can someone assure us that this kind of incidence would never happen again ? We had encountered bombings earlier in Delhi, Bangalore, Jaipur. At that point of time, instead of thinking about the security measures to avoid these kind of situations, the politicians with Z-security were busy playing the political games. None of them ever gave a single thought about our safety. One statement that they blabbered again and again was to ”Stay calm”. Now this Mumbai war. What now ???? Are we still supposed to ”stay calm” ? How can we ? We cannot take it anymore and we do not want to. The so-called “politicians” have to come up with rigid and strict measures to ensure our safety. They really have to fill up the loopholes in the security. These were the words of Shobhaa De when asked about the entire situation:

This is the amount of trust we have in our politicians. If they are not capable of doing anything then please stop wasting our money, stop filling personal treasuries. Please think over the safety of the citizens rather than sleeping during the parliament sessions. Atleast provide adequate equipment to the police officials or ATS who can save us in these kind of situations. What else could be expected from this Government who cannot provide suitable fitting helmets to the policemen.
I want to address Ms. Shobhaa De also that it is not only Mumbai but the people of other cities have had enough. They also want answer to all those questions which are spranging up in the minds of Mumbaikars.
In the end, I want to salute all the police, army, NSG, ATS people who had laid there lives in Mumbai operation.

I am not dead
Hey everyone,
Its been long since I had posted anything. This post also, is not going to be too long. Reason being, I had been diagnosed with a slip disc and a muscle inflammation. The doctor has advised me complete bed rest and I am supposed to get up only for necessary things(food, medicine etc. AND it does not include sitting in front of a computer). Its gonna take time for me to get back to normal state. The previous days had been quite scary for me(Just think, what if it takes you 30 minutes to take 10 steps.
). Things are comparitively better but not perfect.
The pain is back so going back to bed…..
Pray for my early recovery.
See you soon in a full swing.

Tig-TAG[GED]-Tog
I have been tagged by Nidhi and Priyanka… Gosh, I am getting famous… [:)]
The rules for this tag:
1) Link the person who tagged you.
2) Mention the rules on your blog.
3) Tell 6 unspectacular quirks of yours.
4) Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them.
5) Leave a comment on each Tagged blogger’s blogs, letting them know that they have been Tagged.
Here goes my 6 quirkies:
- I do not like people who unnecessarily try to interfere in my personal life. Be it a surprise visit at my place or an unnecessary advise without being asked for one. If you expect something from me, convey it to me in clear statements or please do not expect the expectations to be fulfilled
- If I have some appointment, I like to keep a buffer of around 30 minutes and then get angry on others for being late. [;)] I usually land into an argument with my loved ones for this.. but can’t help it…
- I have a strange thing for some of the movies that I like, especially the ones that are yet to be released. If a movie is already released, I don’t mind watching them again and again and again……… upto infinity. If a movie is yet to be released, I prefer not to miss a single trailer(even repetition). Watching that movie or not is a separate thing. [:)]
- I am famous among my colleagues for displaying movies and games wallpapers on my desktop. I am usually asked, “Yaar, yeh kahan se mila tumhe”(Hey dude, where did you get this from?).
- I do not like this cliche “agli baar dhayan rakhoonga/rakhoongi”(Next time I will take care). These kind of people can never improve.
- I am a very casual kind of person when it comes to clothes. I do not like wearing formal stuff. Even in parties or marriage occassions, I prefer wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

Sad News
After Hyderabad and Rajasthan, it was Bangalore today. We had 7 bomb blasts today in our city. All these blasts happened within the time frame 15-30 minutes. The terror occurred in the afternoon within the radius of 4-5 km of our residence. Though the blasts were of low intensity, yet the numbers were sufficient enough to send a chill down the spine. The news spread like a fire while we were in our office. All the telephone lines were jammed and I was not able to contact my wife (who works in the opposite corner of the city). Finally after so many tries I was able to connect to her. There was one blast in that area also but everybody was fine. Our parents were not able to contact us. We were told to remain in the office and not to go outside the campus. Shortly, there was an email that all the shuttles would be leaving by 5 pm and all the employees were advised to board the same ASAP.
There was chaos all around. Everybody was in hurry to board the bus and leave for home ASAP. I have never witnessed such a situation before. The buses were not arriving in order, so everyone was running helter-skelter to find their respective shuttles. In the middle of this confusion, one of the bus(which I was supposed to board) got stuck in a ditch. I was really worried about my wife. I called her up again and asked her about how is she coming back home. She told me that one of her colleagues would be accompanying her. Somewhat relieved. After sometime we boarded the bus and left the office. The bus was really jam packed and so were the roads. In between, our parents were calling me. I told them I would call them back after reaching home. It took me around 2 hours to reach home. My wife was already home by that time. We called our parents, told them not to worry and we had reached safely. Since then, we have been sitting in front of TV browsing all the news channels possible. Politicians finger pointing, some ministers condemning and clips are being repeated again and again.
